How Long Does it Take Before my Site Will Become Accessible?
After we purchased or transferred your Domain Name is takes about 24 to 48 hours for all the DNS servers around the world to be (re)populated.
What are the restrictions on content?
We reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Sites that may be refused include, but are not limited to sites inciting racism or hatred, and sites depicting excessive graphic violence.
How much space do I get?
Our more popular packages offer between 40MB and 140MB of Web Site storage, however more storage is certainly available. Dedicated servers (servers that host ONLY your website) are also available for those sites that need extensive storage.
What kind of security features can I choose from?
Password protected directories are available to all of our hosting customers. Our secure servers boast SSL--secure socket layers—and are reserved for silver and up customers. How much room is there for growth, and will it be any hassle?
There is plenty of room for growth. Our hosting solution go from anywere between 10MB and 140MB and additional storage space, traffic and email accounts can be purchased at all time. The migration between our packages is seamless.
What specific software do you support?
We support FrontPage extensions. Our secure servers support ASP and ASP.NET technology and SQL database capabilities. Our hosting plans support anything from small, home-based sites to corporate solutions.
What assurances will I get in the way of redundancy?
Although our host is very reliable, all host-servers go down occasionally. The down time for our sites has always been insignificant (less than 1% of the calendar year). Our host uses mirrowed drives, has UPS power protection and backup, and uses a diesel back-up generator. However, if you are concerned with down time, extra redundancy may be purchased: multiple connections, site mirroring, and multiple mail routing are available. Can I use scripting on my site, and is it okay to conduct e-commerce?
Yes, of course. Scripting capabilities are supported by all our servers. E-commerce sites using ASP or ASP.NET technology require Cristal, Zircon or Diamond Hosting. We do not allow the use of CGI-BIN scripting as this causes a security concern.
Will my content be backed up regularly?
All Web Sites, no matter if they were developed by us or not, will be backed up regularly. Please see our hosting plans for more information.
